How coverage actually works

Most home internet picks one wire to your house. Most hotspots pick one network and stick with it. ConnecTen does neither. The router scans the carriers available at your location, locks onto the strongest one, and re-checks as you move or as conditions change. If a signal degrades, it switches without dropping the connection on devices that are connected to the router's Wi-Fi.

Honest limits

ConnecTen depends on cell coverage from US carriers. In locations with no cellular signal from any major carrier, such as deep in some national parks, in steel-walled buildings, far offshore, or in some basements, the router has nothing to work with. Will ConnecTen work where my phone barely gets signal?

If your phone gets even one bar from any major US carrier, the router will usually find a stronger signal than your phone, because it has a larger antenna and can pull from any of the major networks instead of just yours.

Does it work in Canada or Mexico?

ConnecTen is sold for use in the United States. Brief roaming is possible on some carriers but is not the product we sell. Plan on US coverage.

What if I move between states a lot?

That is what the router is built for. There is no state-specific setup, no SIM swap, and no plan change when you cross a state line. The same device works the same way in all 50 states wherever US cell coverage reaches.

How do I know if it will work at my address?
